Honoring Life

Sometimes it can be difficult to see the differences between funeral service providers. We hope the above video, and some of the items on this page will allow you to begin understanding why J.T. Fisher Funeral Service is unique and set apart from others.

On-Site Crematory

On-Site Crematory

Having our own crematory on-site allows us to fully control the process and provide a complete continuity of care for your loved one. We are blessed to serve your family, and believe it is important to guarantee your loved one will be cared for following specific quality and care standards that we live by. Without owning our own crematory, these standards could not be guaranteed.

Another benefit of our on-site crematory is it allows for families to have a final viewing of their loved one in a comfortable and peaceful setting immediately before the cremation is performed.

Large, Well Lit Parking Lot

Large, Well Lit Parking Lot

As we all know, parking can be difficult in our areas. So we designed our facilities to have very large, and well-lit parking areas so regardless of the number of families and friends that may attend services... our parking lots will accommodate them.

Golf Cart Assistance

Golf Cart Assistance

For families and friends that may have difficulty getting around, we have a full fleet of golf carts ready to aid anyone that requires a little extra help.

Repast Facility

Repast Facility

Part of providing full funeral services to our families is the ability for families to hold a repast right at our location. Our repast facility can host up to 100 people. And if you prefer to have food and beverages, we can help with the catering. However, catering is not required for you to have your repast at our funeral home.

In-Home Arrangements available

In-Home Arrangements available

Sometimes it's difficult for families to come to our funeral homes to make funeral arrangements. And if it makes it easier or more comfortable for you, we'll gladly come to your home to make the necessary arrangements. This applies to both planning ahead, or in time of need.

Assistance with Insurance Claims

Assistance with Insurance Claims

We know handling insurance claims can sometimes be confusing and even difficult. But through years of experience, we've become experts in the process and hope you'll allow us to help guide you through it.

Prearrangement Workshops

Prearrangement Workshops

We feel it's important to educate our community on the benefits of pre planning your funeral are. So we hold several educational events throughout the year with a focus on just that... educating. These are not heavy-handed, high-pressure sales seminars and are open to anyone that is interested in learning more about the benefits and process of planning ahead.

We encourage you to check out our community event calendar to see details on these upcoming educational workshops.

FIve Viewing Rooms

FIve Viewing Rooms

We offer a unique opportunity for families to have large gatherings by utilizing the adjoining viewing rooms to  receive multiple supporters simultaneously.  On the other hand, using the two large rooms independently allows us to have four adequate visitations at the same time.  The chapel is often used as our fifth viewing room when the need arises for families who desire to have visitations and wake services where organizations can render final rites over the deceased.

Licensed in Virginia and North Carolina

Licensed in Virginia and North Carolina

Being licensed in both Virginia and North Carolina is another way we've positioned our firm to help families with every step of the process. If your loved one is being interred at a cemetery in North Carolina, we have funeral directors that are licensed there as well. So we can continue to provide full service to your family, even if your loved one will be buried or interred in a North Carolina cemetery.

Male and Female Embalmers

Male and Female Embalmers

We offer male and female embalmers to our organization to make sure that decency and respect will always be given to your love one through the embalming, dressing and casketing process.  Each gender brings his or her gender specific touch which enables us to capture the masculine and feminine appeal to every detail.

Notaries on-site

Notaries on-site

There are several documents involved in the funeral process that are required to be notarized. And we have five notaries employed at our firms making this process easy and efficient.
