Mrs. Barbara Delores Hardy, 84, was born November 1, 1941, in Portsmouth, VA to the late Mildred and Charles Rosser, Sr. She grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia in a family of nine siblings. She is survived by 1 sister Mrs. Gloria Wright of Hampton, Virginia. Barbara Hardy affectionately known as Bobbie, left Portsmouth Virginia at the age of 27 years old with her late husband George Hardy and 6 children to New York City. She was a good wife and mother and an outstanding grandmother. She is survived by 6 children. Barbara Rosser, Vera Hardy, George Hardy Jr, Muriel Hardy Lee, Andre Hardy, and Ardena Johnson. 16 Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews. Barbara was a strong-willed loving mother to the end. She always had a smile and a joke. Barbara devoted her life to nurturing, guiding, and uplifting her family. Her legacy is one of unwavering resilience—an unshakeable strength that steadied her through every hardship and inspired all who knew her. She faced difficult times with courage, always rising with dignity and grace, and teaching her family that true strength comes from perseverance, faith, and love. At the very center of her life was God. Her faith was not only her foundation, but it was also her compass. She taught her children and grandchildren to believe in the power of prayer, to trust in God’s timing, and to understand that with faith, any obstacle can be moved from your path.
