Jason Isaac Wadley

Jason Isaac Wadley was born on August 14, 1988 to Sharon B and Fred A Wadley Jr. in Suffolk, VA. At the time of his birth only God could have known the number of lives he would touch, the effect he would have on those lives or the void left in those hearts that can only be filled by God’s Love. Jason accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. With his family, he became a member of Love Center Family Church, Suffolk, VA in 1993 where he was an active member of the Children’s Ministry and Chosen Generation Youth Ministry. Jason was and still is a man of faith. His love and intimate relationship with the Lord is a shining example to all. We will miss him in the years to come, but we will live our lives to honor his. We will strive to be the kind of person he is, showing love, kindness and devotion to God and family. Jason meant something different to each of us. We will miss his infectious smile, one-of-a-kind personality and reverent spirit. Jason is a 2006 Honor graduate of Nansemond River High School, Suffolk, VA and a 2011 graduate of Howard University, Washington, DC, where he majored in Business Administration. Jason displayed his work ethic and professionalism by wearing a shirt and tie to the interview for his first job at Sonic Drive-in. He went on to hold several jobs including Teller at Bayport Credit Union, Tech Support at Cox Communications, Assistant Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Sales Consultant at Sit ‘N Sleep. Jason always proved to be a great asset to any company where he was employed. J-Wad, as he named himself, thrilled the crowd from the beginning with his athletic exploits. Whether it was his spin moves and hurdles in his seasons of flag football, or earning the nickname, Mr. Intensity, from his training T-Ball coaches (as scores were not officially kept, but he did), he always left his spectators amazed. His competitive spirit was unmatched and his heart and drive to win was obvious to his teammates and especially his opponents. His dedication to Nansemond River Basketball extended past his playing days as he also served as an assistant coach, and his attention to detail was evident in how he studied the defensive back position as a member of the Howard University football team. Jason was preceded in death by his father Fred Augustus Wadley Jr. and sister Leslie Anne Wadley. Jason leaves to cherish his memory his mother Sharon B Wadley, his brother Fred Augustus Wadley III (Jennifer), one nephew Fred Augustus Wadley IV, one niece Gianna Grace Wadley, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
