Hobert Bruce England

April 29, 1966 - January 26, 2022

Hobert “Bruce” England, 55, was born April 29, 1966, to Hobert England, Jr. and Geneva Monk England in Norfolk, Virginia. He was called home to be with the lord January 26, 2022. Bruce worked in the automotive industry as a parts specialist with a career that spanned 37 years. Bruce spoke of many colleagues throughout the years that became more like family to him. Bruce was a wonderful vocalist and well-remembered for choral productions at Oscar Smith High School, singer for local country/southern rock band “Wild Country” in the 90’s, the local talent contest circuit, and singing his wedding vows. Bruce loved Football and was an avid fan of The Washington Football Team (HTTR!). He loved wrestling, reading, comic books, and cinema. Bruce was a kind a giving person. He loved his family and close friends with his whole heart and soul. Left to honor and cherish his memory is his loving wife of 23 years, Tina England of Chesapeake; His brother, Michael England of Chesapeake; His sister, Deanna Cunningham of Chesapeake; Mother-in-law, Jean Ross of Virginia Beach; His niece, Deanna G. England of Chesapeake; and his beloved “grandniece”, Arielle H. England of Chesapeake. Also left to cherish his memory include brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Jennifer Ross of Virginia Beach; an amazing family of aunts, uncles, and cousins; long time and loyal friends; and his K9 children Annabelle, Honeybelle, and Noelle Grace. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deborah England of Chesapeake; and his K9 soulmate, Isabelle Mae. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take time for each other, cherish one another, and support and protect each other. Love each other wholeheartedly as Bruce loved all of you. Live each moment with your loved ones as though it may be the last and don’t let a chance go by to tell them how much you love them and what they mean to you. We will be celebrating Bruce’s life Saturday, February 12, 2022, 11:00am at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ; 1126 Laurel Avenue, Chesapeake, Virginia 23325 and then at The Fraternal Order of Eagles #795; 521 Maple Street, Chesapeake, Virginia, 23324.
