DaJuan Anthony Dixon received his wings on August 27th, 2021. DaJuan was born in Providence, Rhode Island on November 10th, 1976 to Debra Yarborough and the late David Lassiter. He was raised by his grandparents, the late Charles and Macey Dixon. He was a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church during his early years. He was active in the youth choir, usher board, and young deacon’s ministries. DaJuan graduated from Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1994. He was a member of the men’s basketball team; which is the only team in school history to earn a regional title. DaJuan went on to attend Lynchburg College and later joined the United States Airforce. Upon returning to Portsmouth, he enjoyed working with the mentally challenged. He was employed with AMARR garage doors for 12 years as a lead warehouse trainer. DaJuan was well liked by everyone he met. Throughout his life journey, the friendships and connections he made lasted a lifetime. DaJuan had many talents, he enjoyed writing music and drawing. He was known for his quiet and laid-back demeanor earning the nickname “Silence”. DaJuan was a diehard New England Patriots fan. He was rarely seen without some sort of Patriot’s gear and frequently attended games. Those left behind to cherish his memories are, his devoted and loving wife Cynthia Dixon. His only son Anthony, whom was his pride and joy and their dog Bubble. DaJuan and his family were lovingly referred to as the A-B-C-D family. His mother Debra Frieson (Herb). Stepfather and Mother in law Andrew and Lorraine Bassett. Father in law Steve Fletcher. A host of sister in laws Dana, Anita, Demetrias, Inise, Samone, Tamesha. A maternal aunt and uncle, Donna Barnes and Anthony Yarborough. Along with a multitude of cherished cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James and Nancy Lassiter, brother Charles Dixon Jr, Aunt Marsha McBride and Uncle Kenny Yarborough, as well as many family members lost along the way. DaJuan will forever live on in our hearts and memories, we will miss him dearly.
