Cardrienne Peebles
March 25, 1948 - January 28, 2022
He who hears my word and believes Him who sent me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, But has passed out of death into life. John 5:24 Cardrienne Peebles, the only child of the late Helen Cotton, entered into eternal rest on January 28, 2022, after a brief illness. Growing up in Portsmouth, she was a product of Portsmouth City Schools, graduating from I.C. Norcom High School (Class of ’66) and subsequently Norfolk State University. Her passion and spirit was being a member of the cheerleading teams. She delighted in beautifying her personal surroundings and would diligently keep her yard filled with colorful varieties of plants and flowers. She often volunteered to trim her neighbors’ shrubs and subtly suggested that they add some color to their yard. She was more than willing to share her gifts with others. She was a member of Third Baptist Church and faithfully served on Female Usher Ministry #1. She had formerly been a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where she served as a member of Usher Board #1, which her late mother chaired for many years. When she joined Third Baptist Church, she remarked that she was going back to her roots because she has been a member there during her formative years. She enjoyed attending Church School on Sundays. Soft spoken, sometimes talkative, at other times reserved, but most often comical, she will be missed, but we humbly submit to the will of God. May you find comfort in knowing that God is ever present during this time of bereavement. Sunset in one land is sunrise in another.
