Victor Tariek Lawson was born on March 10, 1991, in Brooklyn, New York. He brought light and laughter to his family from the very beginning. At age 11, he moved with his family to Hampton, Virginia, where he grew into the incredible man we all came to know and love. Whether on city sidewalks or grassy football fields, Victor left his mark wherever he went—with kindness, quiet strength, and a smile that made you feel instantly at home. For the past six years, Victor was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Alexis, whom he often described as his "answered prayer." Their story was one of love at first sight—a bond that only deepened with time, laughter, and shared purpose. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised children who adored him beyond measure. To his kids, Victor was a superhero. To Alexis, he was a rock, a soulmate, and a best friend. Victor was a skilled and dedicated plumber like his father and grandfather . He worked with integrity and pride, treating every job as an opportunity to help someone. His hands may have been tough from labor, but his heart was soft with compassion. A lifelong lover of football, Victor played with passion and coached with purpose. He poured into young athletes not just the rules of the game, but the lessons of life—discipline, teamwork, humility, and heart. He was the kind of coach who noticed every kid, encouraged the underdog, and celebrated effort more than outcome. Victor was a “man’s man”—strong, dependable, steady—but what made him truly unforgettable was his warmth. He was calm in crisis, wise beyond his years, and tender with those he loved. He had the rare ability to listen without judgment, speak with clarity, and walk into a room and instantly make it better. People didn’t just like Victor—they loved him. Everyone did. Victor passed away on June 21, 2025 in a courageous and selfless act—trying to save a loved one. His final moments were a true reflection of who he was every day: a protector, a servant-hearted man, and a hero. Victor didn’t live a long life, but he lived a full one—a life of honor, heart, and heroism. His legacy is not only in the life he gave at the end, but in the countless lives he lifted while he lived. He made this world brighter, safer, and better. He is survived by loving wife, Alexis, the precious children, David, Viviyona, India, Alexeia, August, and Chance, his mother, Tanyia Bowlding, father, Victor Lawson (Cynthia), grandparents, in-laws, his siblings, extended family, close friends, teammates, coworkers, and the countless lives he touched both on and off the field. And though our hearts are heavy, we give thanks. Because we were blessed to know him. We were blessed to love him. And we will carry his memory forward in everything we do. Rest well, brave soul
