In loving memory of Anthony Wilson Sr., who peacefully transitioned from his mortal life to eternity on July 7, 2024, at the dawn of a new week. Anthony's legacy is one of unwavering dedication and remarkable achievements that have touched the lives of many. Anthony's journey began at First Colonial High School, where he excelled in academics and sports, earning a baseball scholarship that marked the beginning of his remarkable story. Following his graduation, Anthony proudly served in the army, where he exemplified courage and honor, eventually becoming a respected veteran. His commitment to education saw him continue his studies, shaping a path of lifelong learning and growth. It was during his post-military life that Anthony found his soulmate, Dorcas Maria Jones, with whom he shared a profound love and partnership. Their union, solemnized on July 16, 1981, blossomed into a beautiful family of four children, a testament to the enduring bond they shared over 43 years of marriage. Anthony's professional journey led him to a distinguished career with the United States government, where his dedication and excellence were recognized with numerous accolades. As he retired from his role as a supervisor, Anthony left a lasting impact on all those he worked with, setting a standard of excellence that inspired others. In his spiritual life, Anthony found solace and purpose within the church of God and Saints of Christ in 1979, where he devoted himself wholeheartedly. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, serving as a choir member, Shepherd, deacon, overseer, and pastor, leaving a profound legacy of faith and service within the church community. Anthony will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his mother, Ms. Edith Forman; his beloved wife, Dorcas Maria Wilson; his five sons, Anthony J. Wilson, Antonio J. Wilson, Antoine J. Wilson, Johnny Terrell White, and Marsai McLaren; his daughters, Alexis J. Wilson and Katrina King; his siblings, Aunt Mary, and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and friends. As we honor Anthony's life and legacy, may we find comfort in the cherished memories and lasting impact he has left behind.
