O'Sheila B. Seabron

O'Shelia Bland Seabron was born April 4, 1951 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Juanita Wilson and reared by her Aunt Laura Hunter and her Uncle James Cummings. She departed this earth to be with the Master on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 65. O'Shelia was one of the most caring and self-less human beings God ever created. She spent the majority of her life caring for others and on any given day you could find her ministering to the needs of others. O'Shelia gave her life to the Lord at an early age, however, it was in her later years that her relationship with the Lord grew to a level of intimacy that definitely secured her a mansion in Heaven. Following the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, O'Shelia moved to Chesapeake, VA where she lived out her last days. Through many years of hard times, ups and downs, God promised her that her latter would be greater than her past and he did exactly that when he allowed her to meet the love of her life, Mr. Jeremiah Seabron. The couple met at Mount Sinai Church and did not realize that they were meant for each other until Pastor Richie Sessions prophesied that they would be together. Armed with this vision from the man of God, the two began to date and soon wed. Jeremiah was only one of the many treasures that God had stored up for her in her latter days. She soon began to see the great and powerful hand of God as He began to open up doors for her like never before. She lived her life like it was golden and became exposed and blessed with many things she never had before. O'Shelia loved God with her whole heart and would often sing hymns that gave praises to His name. She sung not only in the choir but wherever she was and to whomever she encountered. Everyone who knew her will thoroughly miss the soulful birthday greetings she would extend via telephone on their birthdays. She was preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Wilson; father, Willie Wilson; brother, Lloyd "Heart- Trouble" Wilson, Aunt Laura Hunter, Uncle James Cummings, her second husband, Darrin Edwards and her grandson, Anthony "AJ" Harris, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jeremiah Seabron; her sister, Alice Fried of Vacaville, CA; her brother Yasin Muhaimin (Elaine) of New Orleans, LA; her three sons, Arthur George Harris, Jr. (Jill) of New Orleans, LA, Anthony Cornell Harris, Sr. (Crystal) of New Orleans, LA and Allen Michael Harris, Sr. (Angela) and her only daughter Alicia Chantell Harris of New Orleans, LA. Her nine grandchildren, Thomas Brasley, Ashanti Harris, Jared Ellzey, Alleigha Harris, Allen Harris, Jr., Aniya Harris, Aiden Harris, Noah Gladney and Alexander Harris; her first husband, Arthur George Harris, Sr.; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her church family at the Village Church of Portsmouth. O'Shelia lived an extraordinary life and was a beautiful human being. Her life and legacy was a true testament of love and in the end, God was true to His Word, ensuring that her latter was greater than her past.
