Montre Savon Andrews

It is with profound sorrow and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved and eldest son, Montre Savon Andrews, who left this world on September 7, 2025, at the age of 31. Montre, known affectionately as “Sleepy”, to all his family and friends brought light, love and laughter into our lives from the moment he arrived. His spirit was kind; and his heart was generous. Born on August 17, 1994, as the first-born child to his Mother, he had a quiet love for God and his creation and was an avid animal lover. From an early age he had a unique sense of style and an eye for fashion that was bold and beautiful as his spirit. His love for self-expression through clothing wasn’t just about what he wore – it was a celebration of identity, creativity and confidence. Whether it was his quiet strength, his sense of humor, or his deep compassion, he made a lasting impact on everyone he met. He loved music, food, fashion, the arts and gardening. He was an excellent dancer and even took Luigi Jazz classes as a teenager. Montre attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked for DPL Landscape Design & Masonry in New Jersey for many years learning several trades and business skills. He also worked at Freshwaters Southern Cuisine Restaurant learning several culinary skills. Montre held a special place in all our hearts. The bond he shared with his siblings and close friends was filled with love, laughter and loyalty. His memory will live on in the stories we share, the lives he touched, and the immeasurable love we hold for him. He is preceded in death by his Brothers - Marquel Andrews and Charles Moseley Jr., Sister -Jessica Sunkin, Uncle - Stanley C. Andrews, Jr., and Grandmothers - Lydia E. Harris and Mabel Moseley, Grandfather - Glenn Moseley. He is survived by his Mother - Mya L. Andrews, (Bonus Father – Jamar “Duke” Peoples), Father - Charles L. Moseley, Sr., Grandfather - Stanley C. Andrews, Sr., Sisters - Alaiyah Andrews, Mercedes Moseley, Diamond Moseley, Brothers - Daimen Brown, Romeo L. Moseley, Charles L. Moseley, II, Charles L. Moseley, III, Special Aunts – Chere’ D. Andrews (Uncle Bernard Jones), Taria J. Andrews, Nadine “Nettie” Rice, Nephew TyKari Harris and Niece Ky’la Andrews as well as other aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family and many friends who cherished him deeply. Though he is no longer with us in body, Montre, will remain forever in our hearts. We love you always.
