Michael Harris

Michael Lee Harris was born on March 17, 1992, to the union of Michael and Vanessa Harris in Montgomery, AL. He moved to Virginia with his Uncle and Aunt, Stephan and Raquel Harris, while still a young child. Michael Lee Harris, more popularly known as “Mike” was a very talented young man with many passions in life. He had a very caring and loving spirit and was always willing to help someone in their time of need. As a result, he attended the STOP Organization Nurse Aide Program where he earned his state certification as a Certified Nurse Aide. He worked as a CNA at Autumn Care in Portsmouth, VA for a while until he was called by his true passion – art. Mike always had a passion for art. While growing up, you would often find him drawing and making designs in a notebook. Mike pursued his artistic gift in the form of Tattooing. He started a mobile tattooing business in the Hampton Roads area, tailored to bringing his service to you. Mike has tattooed many people in the Hampton Roads area. His art can be found walking, working, and living in the 7 cities of Hampton Roads. Mike’s artistic talent will continue to live on countless clients, friends, and family that display his artistic gift. While still operating his tattoo business, he went on to work at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he was employed and also working on becoming a Merchant Seaman. Mike had an undeniable love for his children. In his personal time, you could find him spending time with his 3 heartbeats – Naomi, Ava, and Jeremiah. He made it a point to keep in contact with his loved ones. You could always count on to him to call on the phone, text, send a shout out on social media or just stop by your house. Whatever the method of communication, He would always let you know he was “just thinking about you”. Michael Harris departed this life on Monday, November 18, 2019, in Portsmouth, VA. He was preceded in death by his Father, Michael Lee Harris; Sister Britiana Harris and his Uncle Stephan Harris. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Naomi Lie Harris, Ava Marie Harris, Jeremiah Levi Harris of Portsmouth, VA; mother, Vanessa Harris of Montgomery, AL; four brothers, Brandon Harris, Jamal Harris (Markesia), Kendrick Harris, Keldrick Harris, Izamir Harris of Montgomery, AL; two sisters, Vamescia Savage and Iyanna Harris of Montgomery, AL; aunt Raquel Harris; cousin Tre’von Scott, longtime special friend Makeba Carter and a host of other relatives and friends.
