Luttrell De'ontae Kittles

Lutrell De’ontae Kittles (better known as De’ontae or “D”) entered this life on October 1, 1999 to Danielle Kittles and Lutrell Kittles. De’ontae was a smart and very bright child. De’ontae attended school in the Newport News Public School System (OHA, Magruder, Newsome Park, and Huntington) where he achieved his goal of being skipped from 7th to 8th grade. His favorite subject was math. His favorite foods that he begged his mother to cook included fried BBQ chicken, tilapia, baked ziti, and his all time favorite: pork and beans with hotdogs. He would always watch and talk about his favorite teams which were the Baltimore Ravens and Miami heat. Video games and basketball were his favorite hobbies. “D” was a very funny person, always knowing what to say to brighten your day. He was well known to the young and old. From cutting grass, raking leaves, and taking out the garbage, he was always around to lend a helping hand, especially to the elderly; he also helped little ones with school work (especially math). “D” was kind, respectful, loving, compassionate, sensitive, and a “give the shirt off his back” person. De’ontae entered into eternal rest suddenly on May 27, 2013. “D” was preceded in death by his “second mom” Carla Graham, grandparents Lutrell and Mary Hill, uncles Gregory and John Kittles, favorite cousin Jim Leonard, and childhood friends Lamonee Johnson-Chisolm and Demonte Ellis. He lovingly leaves to cherish his memories: mother Danielle Kittles and father Lutrell Kittles (Newport News); stepfather Vernon Sanderlin Jr. (Chesapeake); grandmother Faye Payne(Newport News) ; grandfathers Kevin Leonard and Tony Brooks (Newport News); great grandmothers Margie Leonard and Mattie Bush(Newport News); great grandfather William Payne Jr; sisters Alexis Graham and Pae’chenze Sanderlin (Newport News); older brothers Daniel Kiarie and Lorenzo Goodman (Newport News); special cousins Sharayelle and Tiahani Payne, Quron Payne, Antonio Payne, Kyera Payne, Crystal Stafford, Bianca Leonard, and Denasia Jones (Newport News); special aunts Juanita Payne, Annette Payne, Harriet Branch, Kimeka Bremby, Marquilla Bremby, and Jaumeadie Smith(Newport News); special uncles Damien and Steven Payne, Shirod Payne, William Payne III, Ralph Branch, (Newport News),Kevin Hucks (Southhampton County), and Eddie Marshall (Newport News); godmother Tasha Jones; godsisters Alexis Anthony, Anasia Evans, and Amina Stoney; best friends Breonna Cross, Xaviar Johnson, and Nehemiah Edwards; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
