Linwood B. Pulley

Linwood B. Pulley affectionately known as Lin, left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14th 2023; he was surrounded by family. He was born to the late Willie Gray Pulley and Inda Patterson on July 18th 1947 in Littleton, NC however he was raised in Portsmouth, VA. He was a graduate of IC Norcom High School, and was drafted into the US Army shortly thereafter to serve in Vietnam. He earned the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge of military service. He was employed by Dominion Energy formerly known as VEPCO for 33 years. He was a first class serviceman working to restore power through hurricanes, ice storms and widespread power outages. Upon retirement he enrolled in the former Keys Business College and earned his certification as a massage therapist. Linwood was a devoted husband to his wife of 37 years Betty Pulley and loving father of 5 children. He was an outstanding brother to his sisters and brothers. Lin loved his family but he especially loved his wife and his grandchildren. Linwood was known as “The Fixer”. He could fix and build anything. All family members have something in their home that he has built, fixed, wired or patched by Linwood. Lin loved music of all genres but especially smooth jazz. After retirement Lin and his beloved wife hit the road and literally traveled from east coast to west coast and back. They loved nature, hanging out on the beach, gardening, fishing and Sunday time together (car rides, shopping, and eating in the park). Linwood was preceded in death by his sons Linwood Pulley, Jr, George Lamb III and Kelvin Pulley and his loving brothers Barry Pulley Sr and James Rich. Linwood leaves to forever cherish his memory his wife Betty; his daughter Michone Jackson (Roshon) of GA and his son Brian Pulley (Adria) of VA and his 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His sisters Edna Taylor (Luther) of VA, Barbara Milbourne (Floyd) of VA and Arthur Saunders of VA. He also leaves his God-gifted children Tomekia Lamb, A’Daye Foster, Mike and Michelle Hall. He also leaves his sister and brother in laws who loved him very much. He has numerous nieces and nephews that considered him to be the “Coolest Man in Hampton Roads”.
