Lateaka Coston

LaTeaka Tamika Katrina Dianna Coston, affectionately known as “Teaka”, was called to eternal rest on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Deacon Charles T. Saunders, Sr.; uncle, Charles T. Saunders, Jr.; and first cousin, Gary D. Fields. LaTeaka was born on August 24, 1981 in Portsmouth, Virginia. She received her high school diploma from Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia and attended Columbus State University with a major in Accounting. She was employed as an accounts representative at-Vandenberg, Chase and Associates-located in Atlanta, Georgia. LaTeaka loved to socialize, laugh and give love; she had a strong and big hearted personality. She extended a loving smile and open arms to whomever she would befriend and mentored many girls into young ladies. LaTeaka will be truly missed by all that came into her presence. To her mother Dianne, LaTeaka was a caring and sincere child who gave unconditional love and support to the family. To her father James, Lateaka was an inspiration who looked to him for guidance and support that only a father can give. To her sister Janelle, Lateaka was like a second mother and a best friend that fulfilled the strongest of bonds that only sisters can form. Lateaka is survived by her loving parents James and Dianne Eaton; her father Reginald Coston; her three sisters; Janelle Eaton, Charity “Nikki” Harrell, and LaZondria Eaton; her maternal grandmother, Lucille Saunders; and her paternal grandparents, Gladys and Bobby Hood, Sr.; parental grandmother, Connie Coston and parental grandfather, Wilfred Coston, Sr. She will always be remembered by her caring aunts and uncles; Barbara and Mark Harrington, Ida and Eric Frazier, Shawn and Wadiya Saunders, Shawn Drew, Dwayne Coston, Valerie and Eugene Johnson, Bobby Hood, Jr., and Wilfred Coston, Jr. LaTeaka’s life will always be cherished and remembered by Wynell and Desire Babb. Lateaka will be missed by a host of other aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. To God be the glory for the great things he has done.
