Byron Daye

On June 25, 1975, Byron entered a world filled with unique opportunities, despite feeling initially unfamiliar with its intricacies. However, his upbringing was marked by profound affection from his grandparents, Jesse and Daisy Daye. They devotedly provided Byron with the essential care and support necessary for him to navigate and thrive in this unfamiliar environment. Byron was a free-spirited young man with lots of ambition and never shied away from hard work. He was determined to succeed in life. At the age of six, he desired to conquer the skill of heavy equipment operator. Trained by his grandfather, he mastered these and other trade skills in the construction business that supported him throughout his life. His Uncles, Michael and Calvin, always called upon him to assist with various regional construction projects. Later, Byron's heart was captured by a lovely young lady, Candice Gober, whom he married. From this union were born two lovely children, Nasaya and Ameyia, who became Byron's primary focus and heart’s desire. Whenever they were spoken of, or he would bring his kids over to see his grandmother, Byron's chest would protrude, and he would have a smile on his face that would brighten up the darkest room. He truly loved his girls and wanted to ensure that they understood his life's dilemma. While remaining steadfast, he was determined that his primary goal in life…. was to be there for his children. Every time, it seemed as if he had a handle on the things of life; the troubles of this world would knock him back down. Through it all, the almighty God had the last word. Byron accomplished what he had set out to accomplish. His work on this earth was done, and GOD had prepared a special place in his garden and sent his angels to escort him home. Byron was preceded in death by his brother, Wilson Daye (Sweet-Pea), uncles Michael, and Calvin Daye, David Lee (Duke) grandmother, Daisy Doris Daye, and grandfather, Jesse James Daye. Those left to cherish his memories: Daughters - Nasaya Gober-Daye and Ameyia Daye, Mother Monalisa Daye, along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
