Barbara L. Moseley

Portsmouth- Our Beloved Barbara “Bobbie” Lee Rawlings Moseley, 80, of the 300 block of Bunche Blvd, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 12:51 pm. She was born on June 19, 1928 to the late Percy and Estelle Rawlings. “Bobbie married the late; Charlie L. Moseley, Sr., and they had five children. In spite of her limitations, Bobbie never complained about what she was not able to do. However, “Bobbie” never lost her ability to love. In recent years, as her health continued to decline, she required the care of health professionals. Everyone that worked with her always commented on how sweet and nice she was and how much they enjoyed working with her. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: four children; Glenn K. Moseley, Sr. (Charlene), Brenda L. Gibson (Dwight), Elnora “Boot” Simon (Ricky), Randolph Moseley (Daisy); twelve grandchildren; Phyllis Johnson (Norris), Glenn Moseley, Jr. (“D”), Calvin D. Moseley, Charles “Cheek” Moseley, Sr., Devona S. Gibson, Dwight Gibson, Jr., Darren L. Gibson, Ricky L. Simon, Jr., Kenneth Moseley (Latricia), Kimberly Moseley, Kenesha Beheler (Christopher), and Jamar Ray; eleven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws; Clara Hunter of Brooklyn, New York and Marie Moseley of Queens, New York. Also left to cherish her memory are a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Charlie L. Moseley, Jr., her granddaughter, Sonja M. Moseley, and her great-grandson, Norris Johnson, Jr. Viewing will be held at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 from 2 pm until 7pm. A life celebration service will be held 11 am on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Jerusalem United Holy Church, 1602 Hoover Avenue, Chesapeake. Pastor Elder Karl A. West will deliver the eulogy and Elder Willie Respass of New Rising United Holy Church will officiate. The family has entrusted J. T.
