Anthony DiGirolamo

Tony DiGirolamo was born In Brooklyn, New York on May 28.1941 and passed on February 19, 2016, in Chesapeake. Virginia, In his immediate family's home. He is survived by his son, James B. DiGirolamo, daughter, Jennifer M. Maldonado, son, John S. DiGirolamo, grandson, Anthony J. Maldonado, grandson, Jacob S. DiGirolam, and granddaughter. Marie C. Maldonado. He is predeceased by his father, Vincent DiGirolamo, mother, Ester DiGirolamo, sister, Mary DiGirolamo, and sister, Rose Falco. In his youth, Tony gained recognition for his artistic rendering of a table with grapes and a wine bottle setting on the surface. He continued to discover his abilities as a student at RCA Institute in New York City. His focus became Television Lighting Design and Production and upon graduation Tony started his career in Jenkintown. Pennsylvania. His Inspirational commitment to getting a job done right gained him yet again more recognition and landed him an Emmy Award which further catapulted his career. Tony was particularly proud of his professional involvement with the Ronald Reagan Presidential Campaign in which Reagan was elected. Toward the beginning of his career Tony was saved by the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ and began to, and continued to reach out to people that he worked with in prayer, encouraging them to send time following the Word of God. His commitment didn't end with his family, friends, co-workers, and colleagues. Tony was equally as Inspirational with children as he had an "Old Man Santa Claus Way" with them that focused on their natural aptitude for joy and excitement. He encouraged children to do what's tight, and to behave well, you know, like Old Saint Nick would. Tony was God fearing, stern, proud, disciplined, discerning, wise, aware, encouraging, selfless, and honorable. He had a strong disdain for our human sinful nature and an unrelenting hope for all people to avoid it no matter the cost, lest their soul, inevitably, be the cost. He had a point to make and made his point clear. In his later years he dedicated his life to a message. The message, like my Father's points of view, was clear. That Psychology and the self esteem movement would systematically dismantle the Christian community as we know it, if we allow it to. He added that It contradicts one of the greatest teachings of Christ, “Deny thyself pick up the cross and follow me." That's the message that he wanted to get across. Tony, like all of us, was not perfect though he strived for perfection dally in his professional and personal endeavors. He was forgiven by his friends, family, and Christ himself on a daily basis, just like all of us are forgiven on a daily basis for our sins and short comings. Amen? Amen. Rest in Peace Tony DiGirolamo, You served Christ well.
