Adrian Speller

On Tuesday, June 30, 2015 Adrian Speller transitioned from earth to glory to be with the Lord. She was born on May 9, 1964 to the late William Yelity and Patsy Alston Yelity. Adrian's formative Christian experience was influenced by her parents at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church where she was also baptized. Prior to her passing, she was a member of Philadelphia Fellowship (Baptist), where she served under the leadership of Pastor Ronnie Joyner. Her life was a true reflection of her core values grounded and rooted in Christian Principles. This was evident when she attended Bible Study on regular basis and instilled in her family that her and her household would serve the Lord. Adrian graduated from Manor High School in Portsmouth, Virginia and furthered her education at Norfolk State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business. She also earned he Master's Degree from Strayer University in the field of Hum Resources. She was currently attending Regent University where she as working to obtain a second Master's Degree in Theology, reparation for ministry. Adrian was recently employed with RS Andrews in Portsmouth, Virginia as a Human Resource Manager. She leaves to cherish two children; Edward D. Speller, Jr. and Kayla A Speller; one sister; Yolanda Y. Harrison (Eric Harrison), one niece' Brianna Harrison, two nephews; Bryson Harrison and Brando Harrison, three aunts; Dinah Gardner, Dorothy Alston, Mosella Alston, a dear cousin; Janet Terry, and a host of other relatives and friends. The last words she uttered to her mother were, "I want to be alone with Jesus Christ my Lord." Missing You ... I miss you so much. I want one more time to laugh with you, one more time to hug you, one more time to exchange J Love You. J miss seeing you dance with Bri & Bryce. We were supposed to grow old together and become grandparents together. What am I doing to do without your "sermons" when I need you to just encourage me? I want to be selfish & not say goodbye. I want you here with me right now. Kiss Daddy, Grandma, and Ma Mary for me. I love you sissy. I'll look after Mama, EJ, & Kayla. Always be my angel.
