Stanley C. Andrews, Jr.

Stanley Cornelius Andrews, Jr., 39, of Portsmouth, Virginia passed away on March 22, 2022. He was born on April 6, 1982 to Stanley C. Andrews, Sr. and the late Lydia E. Harris. Many know him as "Baby Stanley", "Wheety Man", "Wheet" and "Slim". He grew up and attended public school in Portsmouth, VA. Stanley started his own business and named it in honor of his beloved mother, "Lydia's Residential and Commercial Cleaning, LLC". He was so proud to be able to do that. From 2012-2018, Stanley was a marine insulation by trade at various shipyards in Hampton Roads. He was also a crew manager for his Uncle David and Aunt Sharon's business, DPL Landscape Design & Masonry, LLC. He was able to build patios and performed landscape design renovations. Stanley loved his family. He developed a special bond with his children as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins. He visited them regularly and loved spending time with them. He was very close to his sisters. They often got together for special occasions or to celebrate the accomplishments of their children. Stanley loved sports and was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Lakers fan! Stanley was preceded in death by his son, Mason Romero Andrews and his mother, Lydia E. Harris; paternal grandparents Robert and Janet Andrews; maternal grandparents Henry and Mildred Harris; and aunt Joan L. Cartwright. He is survived by his wife, Jamila Andrews; his son, Daimen "Dee" Brown and daughter, Leah-Aren Andrews; father, Stanley C. Andrews, Sr.; paternal grandmother Barbara Andrews; siblings: Chere' Andrews (Bernard), Taria Andrews of Portsmouth, VA; Mya Andrews (Jamar "Duke") of Norfolk, VA; brother, Jamar "Duke" Peoples of Norfolk, VA; great aunt, Lillian Williams of Portsmouth, VA; great uncle, Richard Andrews (Elizabeth) of Suffolk, VA; aunts: Linda Andrews (Ronnie), Cheryle Johnson (James) of Portsmouth, VA; Sharon Boykin (David) of New Jersey; uncles: Larry Andrews (Kathy) of Chesapeake, VA; Henry Harris, Sr. (Mary), Maurice Harris, Sr. of Florida; Jemmott Harris (Carol) of Chesapeake, VA and Roderick Harris of Virginia Beach, VA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special family friends: Alexandria Streeter, Lacomus (Coon) David and Rashad (Shad) Queen and many friends who miss him dearly.
