Obituary:
Portsmouth - Clem Neblitt, 89, of the 2200 block of Peach Street, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Mr. Neblitt was born in Petersburg, VA. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center with over thirty five years of service as a fuel inspector and was an Army veteran. Mr. Neblitt was a member of St. John Baptist Church and of the Alpha and Omega #46 Masonic Lodge for more than fifty years. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Mrs. Ruby Neblitt; two daughters, Raylin Neblitt and Athena Neblitt and a son; Frederick Neblitt, Sr. (Valentina). Also left to cherish his memories are his grandchildren; Frederick Neblitt, Jr. and Valentina Jones (Sean). He is predeceased by a son; Leon Neblitt and a brother, Charlie Lee Neblitt. Viewing will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm on Friday, July 2, 2010 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at St. John Baptist Church, 2200 Effingham Street, Portsmouth with Pastor Robert Earls officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
