Portsmouth – Romeriell Elliott also known as “Rom”, 59, of the 3800 block of State Flower Court, departed this life on June 16, 2010 in District Heights, MD. Romeriell graduated from Wilson High School in 1969 and Heidelberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in 1973. He retired from Verizon as an Administrator with over 30 years of service.
Romeriell leaves to cherish his memories a sister; Verna G. Friday (Pastor Barry Friday), two brothers; Vernon Dixon, Jr. and Leonadrus C. Dixon and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a sister Evon E. Battle and a brother, Tony A. Elliott.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 4 pm until 7 pm at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at noon on Monday, June 28, 2010 at the funeral home. Pastor Barry Friday will be officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
