Portsmouth-Mary Ann Ellis, 57, of the 100 block of Carol Lane was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2010 at Maryview Medical Center. Mary was born in Franklin, North Carolina to Annie Mae Ellis and Paul M. Ellis, Sr. She was a member of Holy Temple Church in Chesapeake.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories a son, Kenny Ellis; her parents; Annie Mae Ellis and Paul M. Ellis, Sr.; her sisters, Carrie Hardy, Tina Anderson, Bertha Trotter; her brothers; Jessie L. Ellis, Paul M. Ellis, Jr., James Ellis, Raymond Ellis and Wayland D. Ellis. She was predeceased by her siblings; Mary Francis, Verda Mae, Gracie Porter, Russell Ellis, and Robert L. Ellis.
