Chesapeake-Joseph Edwards Evans also known as Blip, 55, of the 3200 block of Bromay Street, departed this life on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Maryview Medical Center.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memories his mother; Gladys Smith, five sisters; Gloria Tucker (Charles), Barbara Evans, Jeanette Ward (Laurence), Brenda Dixon (William) and Rita Smith; a brother; James Evans and a great aunt; Thelma Brittle.
Viewing will be held from 4 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA. A life celebration service will be held at 1:00 pm on June 17, 2010 at New Hope Baptist Church, 4260 Pughsville Road, Suffolk. Burial will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
