| Obituary: |
Portsmouth-Roderick Lee Deberry, 24, of the 200 block of Dale Drive, departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Jasonny Knight and a son, Chris Knight; his mother, Cynthia Deberry and father, Robert Wright. Also left to cherish his memories are three sisters; Saseeysa Deberry, Kimberly Deberry, and Armecy Deberry; and two brothers, Terry Deberry and Issac Deberry. Roderick will also be missed by his long time friend and mother of his children, Ashley Knight. He is predeceased by a brother, Chris Deberry.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, May 31, 2010 from 4 pm until 7 pm at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11am at Third Baptist Church, 461 Godwin Street, Portsmouth, VA. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
