Portsmouth – Gary “Rebel G” Fields, 29, of the 500 block of Bunch Blvd. departed this life on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Maryview Medical Center.
Gary leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Shawn D. Reid and Gary D. Fields, Jr.; his loving parents, Eric and Ida L. Frazier; his father, Timothy Fields, Sr.; two sisters, Tonya Williams (Jermaine) and Monae Stephenson; and two brothers, Timothy Fields, Jr. and Travis Stephenson. Also left to cherish his memory are his maternal grandmother, Lucille Saunders and his paternal grandparents, Charles and Melinda Jefferson. Gary will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 4 pm until 7 pm at
J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA. A life celebration service will be held at 11am on Monday, May 10, 2010 at New Bethel Baptist Church, 4212 Greenwood Drive, Portsmouth, VA with Bishop James M. Whitaker, Pastor and Rev. Dr. Mark M. Whitaker, Assistant Pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens located in Chesapeake, VA.
