Chesapeake - Jocelyn Harper Bell, 56, of the 3300 block of Woodbaugh Drive fell gently asleep on March 09, 2010. She was born on September 25, 1953 in Norfolk County to the late James E. Harper Sr. and Louise A. Harper, who both preceded her in death.
She leaves to rejoice in her homegoing her three children: Joe Louis Bell Jr. of Chesapeake, Virginia, Jaime Lamont Bell Sr. of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Ja’net Bell Clayton of Chesapeake, Virginia; three sisters: Rev. Faye Seymore of Dover, Delaware, Kay Wharton (Nathaniel) of Toano, Virginia and Beverly Lindsey (Lynn) of Grandy, North Carolina; one brother, Timothy Harper of Baskerville, Virginia; ten grandchildren: Jasmine France, Kardre Blount, Jaime Bell Jr., Daria Bell, Kayla Bell, Daija Bell, Jacqualine Clayton, Justin Bell, Jayson Bell, and Devon Bell; three aunts, Virginia Simmons of Norfolk, Virginia, Emily Lewis of Baltimore, Maryland, and Mamie Steward of Norfolk, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, March 12, 2010 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy, Chesapeake, VA. A life celebration service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the funeral home with Rev. Faye Seymore, officiating. The family has entrusted J. T.
