Portsmouth-Marvin Patterson, Sr., 61, of the 3100 block of Downes Street, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2010 after a short illness. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Marvin Patterson, Jr; his devoted father, Russell Patterson; ten sisters, five brothers, two aunts and a grandson, Javaun Patterson. Also left to cherish his memory are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held from 10 am until 4 pm on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy, Chesapeake, VA. A life celebration service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010 at Solid Rock Baptist Church, 1340 Gust Lane, Chesapeake with Rev. Johnnie Drake officiating. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
