Chesapeake - Franklin D. Taliaferro, 64, of the 900 block of Guenevere Court, departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Mr. Taliaferro was retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Mr. Taliaferro leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Norma Taylor Taliaferro; a daughter Frankie T. Lawrence (Bill) and a son, James C. Taliaferro. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren; Taylor and Will Lawrence.
A life celebration service will be held at 12 pm on Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. James Episcopal Church, 928 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA with Rev. Dr. John Agbaje, Rector officiating. Interment is private. The family has entrusted J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy, Chesapeake to handle the final care arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, in the name of Franklin D. Taliaferro www.diabetes.org.
