Earl H. Dillard, 73, loving father and grandfather, passed away on February 5, 2010, at his residence. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Oliver Dillard and Frances Dillard Harbin. Earl retired form Mercedes Benz Dealership, Trenton New Jersey and lived in Chesapeake since 2001. He was briefly employed with Dillard’s Department Store. Earl was united in marriage to Mattie Wilson Dillard and from this union were three children. He was a member of the Solid Rock Church. He is predeceased by his parents; wives Elizabeth and Sharon Dillard and brother Nathaniel Dillard Sr. Earl was united in marriage to Mattie Wilson Dillard and from this union were three children He leaves to cherish his love and kindness his three children Earl T. Dillard of Salisbury, N.C. , Renee Johnson, Marvia Dillard of Astoria, Long Island, N.Y.; brothers Earnest Dillard, Tyrone Harbin; one sister Martha Finney of Beckley, WVA. ; three step-children Ronnie Wright of Trenton, N.J., Wilford Wright Jr. and Adrian Wright of Atlantic City, N.J ,four grandchildren, six step-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A life celebration service will be held at 11 am Thursday in First Baptist Church Camelot, 1008 Sir Lancelot Drive, Chesapeake VA. The burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. The family has entrusted J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake to handle the final care arrangements.
