Portsmouth – Rudolph Watkins, 70, of the 1100 block of Fayette Street, quietly went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, January 15, 2010, following a brief illness, at Bon Secour Maryview Nursing Care Center, Suffolk, VA.
Rudy was a 1957 graduate of I. C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth, VA. He was predeceased by his mother, Mrs. Ada Reed Copeland; his father, Mr. William Edward Watkins; and a son, Mr. Anthony Watkins.
Rudy leaves to cherish his memory the following: Four sons, Keith Watkins (Brenda) of Portsmouth, VA; Timothy Watkins of Suffolk, VA; Rudolph Watkins (Mona) and Dwayne Watkins of Portsmouth, VA. One daughter, Stephanie Smith (Eddie) of California, and a very loving and devoted brother, William Watkins, Sr. (Gloria) of Portsmouth, VA. He also leaves to cherish his memory twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
