Portsmouth – Thelma K. Cooper, formerly of the 2400 block of Cutherill Street, passed away on January 8, 2010. Thelma was born on November 13, 1927 in Tabb, VA. She was a dedicated member of Mount Herman Temple, Portsmouth. She was educated in the Newport News School System. Thelma was predeceased by two sisters and one brother. She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband, Lynell Cooper and a step-daughter, Gwen Cooper. Viewing will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14 from 4 – 7pm in J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held on Friday, Jan 15. at 11 am in J.T. Fisher Funeral Services Chapel.
