Portsmouth – Mark Ashburne, 50, of the 5700 block of Pinewell Street, passed away on Jan. 5, 2010. Mark was born on July 31, 1959 to Wayman Ashburne and the late Phillis Ashburne in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was a member of New Berean Baptist Church in Suffolk, Virginia. Mark leaves to cherish his memories: a son, Mark Ashburne, Jr.; a daughter, LaShaun Ashburne; a father, Wayman Ashburne; two sisters, Phillis LeBoeuf and Marion Bennett, two brothers, Anton Ashburne and Wayman Ashburne. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. A life celebration service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Jan. 9 in J.T. Fisher Funeral Services Chapel, Chesapeake.
