Portsmouth - James “Bud” Tyndall, Jr., 56, went to be with the Lord peacefully in his Portsmouth home surrounded by his family on Friday, Jan. 1, 2010. He was born on September 2, 1953 to James Tyndall, Sr. of Winston Salem, NC and Mary Robinson Ferguson of Portsmouth, VA. He graduated from Adaberry Job Corps for Auto Mechanics. He was a member of Mount Sinai Church, Portsmouth, VA. While being a car enthusiast Bud was a proud member of East Coast Racecar Federations. Bud was a self-employed truck driver for 32 years and retired in 2005. He is predeceased by a son, the late great James “J.T.” Tyndall, III and a brother, Jamie Tyndall. He leaves behind to cherish his memories a loving wife, Marie E. Tyndall of Portsmouth, VA; two daughters, Shontell M. Harrell (William) of Chesapeake, VA and Janvielle N. Sutton (Daryl) of Portsmouth, VA; a mother, Mary Robinson Ferguson of Portsmouth, VA; a father, James Tyndall, Sr. of Winston Salem, NC; three sisters, Doris Black of Norfolk, VA, Linda Lucas of Virginia Beach, VA and Patricia Spruill of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Jimmy Tyndall of South Carolina and Ricky Tyndall of Portsmouth, VA; paternal grandparents, Julia and Allen Tyndall; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Annie Robinson; eight grandchildren, Crystal M. Foster, Princess C. Foster, Destiny J.Q. Johnson, Nichole A.M. Harrell, William T. Harrell, Jr., Caleb Harrell, Rashard Spruill and Cieanna “Cee-Cee” Davis and one great-grandson, Edward “E.J.” Whitfield, Jr. Also left to cherish his memories are beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, fans and friends. A life celebration service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at J.T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake. The family has entrusted J.T. Fisher Funeral Services to handle the final care arrangements.
