Suffolk – Elizabeth Robinson, 60, of the 100 block of Rochdale Lane, departed this life on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Sentara Obici Hospital.
Elizabeth was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Ployd Gentry and Lottie Gentry. She graduated from South Eastern High School. She worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 30 years where she retired as an Assembly Line Operator. She received numerous awards: Chrysler Quality Control Certification and Quality Control Supervisor. She was a member of the Chrysler V.A.W. Union Steward.
Elizabeth was predeceased by a brother, Ployd Gentry, Jr. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her loving memories with her two daughters, Sonya D. Huie of Suffolk and Dezyrae R. Smith of Beaufort, SC.; two sons, Thomas W. Robinson, II of Virginia Beach and Curtis M. Robinson of Detroit, MI; two sisters, Linda Gentry and Evelyn Stokes; four brothers, Leon Gentry, Cleo Gentry, Charles Gentry and Billy Gentry; three grandchildren, Skye D. Huie, Serenity R.E. Straughter and Jason L. Smith, Jr.
A life celebration will be held at 3pm on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N George Washington Hwy., Chesapeake, VA. The family has entrusted J. T.
