Portsmouth - God delivered one of his bundles of joy to Levore Gracie Silver on March 6, 1972 in Bronx County, New York which was Derrick Charles Pippen. God reclaimed Derrick on December 27, 2009. Derrick found the good in everyone whom he came into contact with. Derrick was a gentle soul and his smile could open all doors and hearts. He helped everyone he could and loved his family and friends with a love that is not so common today. He forgave those who could not forgive themselves and loved them with a love that was unconditional and pure.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his absence: his loving wife; Patricia Pippen, mother; Levore Gracie Silver, stepfather; Ernest Silver, sister; Katrina Silver (John), children; Derrick Wells, Daeshona Pippen, Darius Pippen, Desirae Christie, and Deisha Williams, grandparents; Joe Pippen, Sr. (Ida) of New York, Mable Pippen (Lloyd) of New York, mother & father-in-law; Joan Brown (Leon (Deceased)) of Virginia, brother-in- law; Edward Brown (Nicole) of Portsmouth, VA, uncles; Joe Pippen, Jr. (Angie), Peter Pippen of Staten Island, New York, Clarence Silver (Christine) aunts; Geraldine Patterson (Gregory ) of Bronx, New York, Kim Pippen-Kobus of Chesapeake, VA, special nieces; Michelle Barnes, Chantel Barnes, Makayla Smith, Camille Armistead, Alayasia Silver, Desmonae Eley, Jahnae Jennings, special cousins; Kuanasia Pippen-Murphy, Kimberly Silver, Tee Tee Jenkins, Felicia Jenkins, Joseph Pippen, Tevin Williams, Tricia Pippen and a host of other special cousins and family members.
