J. T. Fisher has over 30 years of experience in the funeral service industry. He received a degree in funeral service from John Tyler Community College in 1986. He obtained his National Board Certification in 1986 and, in 1990, the Commonwealth of Virginia licensed him as a funeral director and embalmer. Mr. Fisher was also licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Bureau of Insurance Division, as a burial and pre-need planning agent in 2001.

Mr. Fisher resides in the Tidewater area with his wife, Nichol F. Fisher, who is the Vice President of J.T. Fisher Funeral Services. He has three children: Jasmine T. Fisher, Jayda T. Fisher and Justis T. Fisher. He is an active member of Grove_Baptist_Church and the Lake Shores Civic League.

Nichol F. Fisher, MSW Vice President and Administrator Nichol Fisher is a pre-need burial insurance agent. She is a member of the Portsmouth Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is presently chaplain at Portsmouth Chapter Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and an Archivist for Portsmouth Chapter the Links, Inc.

Yolanda White Office Manager Yolanda White graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Formerly an elementary school teacher, Yolanda now teaches Sunday School at Mount Tabor COGIC in Smithfield, Virginia.

Bryan Eley Lead Funeral Director Assistant Bryan Eley graduated from Norfolk State University with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Sociology. He has been with J.T. Fisher Funeral Services since 2004. He is currently enrolled at Tidewater Community College where he studies in the Funeral Service Program.

Richard Cansler Funeral Director Assistant Richard Cansler is a retired Chesapeake Employee. He is the Chairman of the Trustees at Fourth Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia.
